If we can not fully understand and explain the most fundamental particles, any system builded on top could be questionable, such as any applied science.
If we can not fully trust people's speech who are still live today, how can we trust someone who had passed away from 2000 years ago, and messages who brought to us. Things build on top of these messages could be questionable.
Thus, people could get isolated due to there is so few common languages, belief, and connection.

Rembrandt van rijn
Currently there are not many good quality photos of Rembrandt's paintings online, and I felt these are good photos to share.
These photos were taken from MAT in 2010/05, and his paintings always make me stay here for a while, and his paintings shows the perfection of technique in the whole time.
This tree quarter lighting was what Rembrandt used for most of his portrait paintings, and how he handle the shadow is just amazing.
It is also fun to look at how artists today approach different types of portrait paintings like Lucian Freud, Chuck Close, and many others after seeing 400 years old master paintings.

There were tulip field in Mt Vernon but I found this place was nice, and stay there for this painting.
My favorite part was the upper right corner house and trees. They are fun to paint and fun to look at after I finished it.

Beauty is everywhere and if we see so how do we share?
This is like a package which artist take the responsibilities from beginning to the end, such as where to receive the package, when to receive the package, and how to open the package and who should receive this particular item in the package, and than we can ask ourselves did I do a good job ?

A painting is generated?
Recently, there was one digital painting I have done was labeld as "Computer generated". I believed the term of "generated" was not the correct way to describ a painting.
There is a good way of describing the meaning of a painting and I believed this is why people put this in Wikipedia.
Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium[1] to a surface (support base). The application of the medium is commonly applied to the base with a brush but other objects may be used. In art the term describes both the act and the result which is called a painting......

Photoshop V.S Oil Painting?
Photoshop V.S Oil Painting??
I did one in 2009 and even they were not great paintings but worth to think about it.
I did the digital paintings in one of the session and use it as an guide for the oil painting, and than bring the oil painting for the second session.
They all have their own characteristics.
I don't think it make a lot of sense to compare like this way but it may answer some of the questions which bother me or other artists for a long time.
The answer was if we like the feel of the oil painting, than go ahead to do an oil painting.
If we like the feel of Photoshop painting, than go ahead to do Photoshop painting.
As an artist today, I believe it is our job to figure what is the digital media means to us.

Another Bob Portrait
I did a digital portrait of him at Art/or Not Terminal Session 2 month ago.
