Love the composition of the second sketch. Pushing up the horizon and the subject of main interest to the upper part, you intensify the feeling of expansive space and leaving the front part for contemplation. Love that asymmetric V shape. If you make a painting out of it, your challenge may be making the space in front somewhat interesting but not overwhelming. Just some personal reaction to a good drawing, if you don't mind.
